Truluck's 700 K St. NW DC Ocean's finest seafood and crab! Which is a tremendously gross understatement! Which is a testament to the chefs preparing your food and making it look absolutely as beautiful as it tastes! The service is nothing short of absolutely stunning and amazing! Their motto must be to go above and beyond and create an experience that you will never ever ever forget! Dawn the general manager came out and greeted us with kindness that as long as I have lived I have never experienced and it was nothing short of amazing I have nothing but appreciation and gratitude for how good they made me feel along with my company! Everyone is on the exact same page which is to offer you an amazing and Unforgettable experience from the greeters! To my server, to the back servers in the individuals bringing you food! They check on your allergies and make sure you are going to be safe while enjoying their delectable entrees and appetizers! And the bar! What can I say absolutely freaking amazing! So much fun! So personable! Attending to your every need want and desire! Every single staff member shares the same philosophy to make your experience amazing! The attention to detail is impeccable and unrival! By name: Bar staff- Ben & Renee Greeters- Samantha & Chris Server- Ki All Staff were a joy to interact with. Even the individuals who brought out the food, packed the food, and retrieved various condiments. Christian, Conor, Stuardo, and Nerlin. Mr. Bond Davis was the icing on the cake by coming by to make sure we were having the most memorable experience possible... Yes he is the Manager and a great one at that. No wonder everyone was great. It starts at the top! Thanks Truluck's for an Amazingly wonderful experience and the Best seafood in DC Can't wait to return! I'm not sure if I said enough about how delicious the food was, but kudos to the chefs! They are absolutely freaking amazing! And amazingly I received a phone call the very next day inquiring about their hope that I had a quality and enjoyable experience at their fine dining restaurant. Of course I did!

We mentioned it was our anniversary on OpenTable when we made the res. We were greeted at the door and congratulated by the host on our big day. We were led to our beautiful booth with a table covered in rose petals and a hand-written anniversary card, followed by complimentary prosecco from the manager. Our server Abi was especially attentive and warm. He answered all of our menu questions and even shared some history and traditions of the restaurant. Our food was gorgeous and delicious. Short wait times for each course. We were so impressed by the attentiveness of the staff. I spilled my water glass and they were quick to clean things up, assuring me not to worry. We were pampered the entire two hours! We ordered dessert and were also presented with a complimentary flaming baked Alaska with "Happy Anniversary" written in frosting. This restaurant did more to celebrate us than our own family did. The manager even followed us out the door to wish us well on our special night. We received a follow up phone call the next day to make sure we were satisfied. Prices were reasonable for the delicious meal we had. We were so impressed with every facet of this restaurant and if we lived in DC, it would be our favorite special place. Regardless -- we will certainly be back every time we visit this city. There are 12 Truluck restaurants in the US. I would trust attending any one of them for a special evening. Thank you to all the staff that made our evening unforgettable. (We gave the atmosphere 4 stars instead of 5 because we were not fans of the music playlist in the restaurant. It did not fit at all with the decor or style of the place and was a bit annoying.)

So... my son and I were visiting DC and wanted good food. We found this place online and made reservations. It was a VERY good meal. If you come here, be prepared to spend a LOT of money (for most people), but get the value out of every penny. This is the type of piece where you will want to go the extra mile on the food... so just know you'll be spending a lot, but getting a meal/experience you won't forget. Yes, we had 3 desserts. We couldn't decide... and would likely get all three again. I had seabass, and he had filet mignon. He also ordered the crab fried rice and bacon wrapped shrimp. The crab claws are the appetizer on the menu (stone crab). The crab was honestly the worst part of the meal, but still extremely good. Very good food, definitely would recommend if you are OK with paying for expensive meals.

TRULUCK DON’T OWE ME NOTHING!!… But another beautiful visit such as the one I had for my birthday!! They did an amazing job accommodating my reservation as well as my dinner! The aesthetics were amazing and they also allowed me to do my photoshoot here! I was greeted with a birthday card! They offer separate checks and they gave me an ice cream coffee kind of cake covered with marshmallow 8/10! I tried the calamari for my starter 10/10! Everything was so great even our server for the night he was very polite and helpful!

I went to Truluck’s in DC to celebrate my birthday and had an amazing experience. The food was excellent—I ordered the cod and rice and my friend had the salmon & rice, and both dishes were delicious. At the end of the night, the staff surprised me with a small birthday cake and sang, which made the evening extra special. Great food, attentive service, and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We went for my girlfriend’s birthday and I got to say this is the best restaurant for special occasions. Our waiter Carlos was perfect and made it a very great experience for us, if the man could get a raise he highly deserves it. I highly recommend this place and we will most definitely be back!

Me and my fiancé came here for our anniversary and for Father’s Day. If you’re coming here solely for the food, you’re in for a treat. Every dish we tried was nothing short of exceptional—expertly prepared, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. The kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing, and the menu offers a perfect balance of creativity and comfort. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was top-tier. Unfortunately, the atmosphere doesn’t match the quality of the cuisine. The space felt cramped and noisy, with a layout that made it hard to enjoy conversation. Lighting was harsh, and the décor seemed like an afterthought rather than a complement to the fine dining experience. Service was friendly but a bit rushed, likely due to the tightly packed tables and constant flow of patrons. In short: the food is five-star, no question but the ambiance makes it hard to fully relax and enjoy it. If the setting were brought up to the same level as the kitchen, this place would be near perfect.

This place is above and beyond. I love 5 star dinning but this place gives you everything atmospere, outstanding food pardon expression(an orgasim in your mouth), my fresh blueberry mojito was amazing and the service was awesome like they enjoyed being there. I really appreciated and recommend excellent fine dinning the best in that city.
